Child #2=Belly (Girl)
I don’t know if my mom said ‘honey’ a lot, but I do. I have been catching myself call my little brothers honey.
Sonwon bites his grapes in half and gives part to Belly, "Here you go, honey" he says. (Ages 2 (almost 3) and 1)
Sonwon: "Don't scratch my back! Scratch boo-boos. (Age 2 (almost 3))
Me: "Don't worry Daddy, I'm making you cookies."
Sonwon: "I'm making you crazy,” (Age 3)
Me: “Sonwon, you need to listen to mommy. Sonwon, what are you going to do next time?”
Sonwon: “Next time, I'll be perfect.” (Age 3)
Belly: "What are you doing, mommy?"
Me: “I'm putting on makeup, honey.
Me: “To make myself pretty.”
Belly: "I want some! Me too!"
Sonwon: "You already pretty, Belly." (Ages 3 and 1)
Sonwon: "Don't use toilet paper, Daddy."
Daddy: “What do you think it's for, Sonwon?”
Sonwon: "It's for girls." (age 3)
“I uh Robot. Robots don't sleep.” (Sonwon at bedtime tonight, age 3)
Me: “Eat your green beans, Sonwon, to grow big and strong.”
Sonwon: “I don't need to eat green beans; I wanna be short and strong! (Age 3)
"I did a man poop mommy"... and he did. (Age 3)
Sonwon came out of bed this morning and headed straight for the couch. I told him to go to the bathroom first. He told me that his feet can't turn that way... then he walked back down the hallway and back towards me, "see, they can't turn in the bathroom." (Age 3)
"Not bad."- (Sonwon at breakfast)
"It's kinda... good."- (Sonwon at dinner (age 3))
Sonwon: "If there were two kinds of animals, they would be, um, Lions, um, and Squirrels."
Me: "Squirrels… Sonwon?"
Sonwon: "Yes, Squirrels... and Giraffes."
Me: "Sonwon, that's three..."
Sonwon: "Ok, Lions and Squirrels and Giraffes." (Age 3)
I flip on the TV this morning and there's a Proactive commercial playing; Sonwon turns to me and says, "You could use that mommy." (Age 3)
"Mommy, they're building a humungous building!"-Sonwon (Age 3)
"I wanna bake, mommy."-Belly (19 months)
Me: "Belly, are you cute?"
Belly: "No, Sonwon's cute.” (Age 22 months)
Belly dropped a cup at our garage sale yesterday- it shatters and she exclaims, "It's not my fault!" (23 months)
"That's a girl doggy, mommy... it can get pregnant."-Sonwon (Age 4)
Sonwon-pooping in bathroom, Belly goes in and turns on fan…
Me: "Sonwon please flush, it will get rid of the smell."
Sonwon: "I like the smell." (Ages 2 and 4)
Daddy: "Sonwon, you don't want to make me come in there."
Sonwon: "You can't get up, Daddy.... I'm faster than you!" (Age 4)
Marks for creativity...
Belly: "You're a stinky sandwich, Sonwon." (Age 2)
Me- "Sonwon, you're being good, you deserve a treat."
Sonwon- "Mommy, you're being good too! You deserve a treat."
Me- "Yes Sonwon, yes I do." (Age 4)
“Mom! I can't pick my nose when you drive fast...” -Sonwon (Age 4)
Daddy: "Sonwon, apologize for making a mess and hitting your sister."
Sonwon- "Sorry Belly."
Daddy: "and I'm sorry for making a mess."
Sonwon- "I forgive you, Daddy." (Age 4)
Me: "Sonwon, do you want to walk to the library with us?"
Sonwon: "No... I got so much work to do today."
Me: "Really. What do you have to do today?"
Sonwon: "I got to play games and watch TV... all day long."
Me: "Sounds like a lot of work." (Age 4)
We're discussing cake and Uncle J2’s birthday.
Belly- "We're making cake for Sonwon's uncle."
Me- "They're your uncles too Belly, Uncle J1, Uncle J2 Uncle J3, and Uncle B."
Belly- "Sometimes I share."
Me- "You share uncles, Belly? That's very nice of you."
Belly- "One uncle, mommy... Uncle J3." (Ages 4 and 2)
